Update statement on progress:

'The CCG has concluded the mini competition process and has a identified a practice to continue services at Cogges Surgery.

However, the current partners at Cogges have informed the CCG that they have continued their efforts to recruit a new partner and have been successful.

They have now requested that the CCG allow them to cancel their notice of termination and continue to run the contract at Cogges.

Given prior  communications with Cogges this was unexpected and the CCG  is currently seeking legal advice on the next steps'.

The proposal from Cogges is being assessed and this process is almost complete. There are a number of issues that need further clarification and we anticipate being able to confirm arrangements with patients before the end of December.

13 December 2018

The CCG has now met with the GP partners at Cogges practice to discuss the areas needing further clarification and more information will be submitted by the practice to support their original proposals. We remain optimistic that we will be able to confirm arrangements with patients before the end of December.

Cogges Partners to continue providing services at Cogges Surgery

OCCG has agreed to cancel the termination notice for Cogges GP practice, meaning that the current Cogges practice team will continue to deliver primary care to their patients.

This decision has been widely supported by the neighbouring practices in West Oxfordshire.

We appreciate this has been an unsettling time for patients registered at the practice and we will be writing to them to confirm that they don’t need to do anything as they can remain registered with the practice and continue to benefit from the services provided there.

There is more information in the letter to stakeholders.
